Occupy Oswego Lake

To All COLA LO Members,

This week the LO Review published an article informing residents of the previously posted article on Willamette Weeks excursion into the lake with a Kayak.

It seems a call has gone out to "Occupy Lake Oswego".

According to the review article:
“Occupy Oswego Lake” is apparently set for March 22. The only instructions posted so far? “Bring canoe.”

The article can be found at the following link:   Occupy the Lake.

It will be interesting to see how the LOPD handles the situation should it occur.   The movement has caused substantial damage in Portland and other communities throughout the country.

One citizen's comments even suggests that the Mayor is actually encouraging the occupy the lake movement.  The comments are as follows online in the article's comments section:

I have read the referenced Willamette Week article and it strikes me that our own Mayor Hoffman was suggesting an "Occupy Lake Oswego" movement.........Just took a second look at his statement and he sure enough did. What gives with that guy anyway? Anyone have a clue? Why does he persist in always creating S*** storms? Is he cheesed off because Judy pulled the financial rug out from under him because he isn't re-electable? He's the Rodney Dangerfield of City Council: 'Don't get any respect' and he doesn't like it? Or could it be some serious mental pathology? "Anti-Luke"

We leave it to the reader to decide the merits of this viewpoint but it clearly shows how frustrated the community is over the issue.
