Local Mayors Frustrated with METRO Planning

To all COLA LO Members,

This week it was reported that a large group of local mayors have formed a group to address their concerns regarding METRO and its planning requirements.   The group is lead by Tualatin Mayor Lou Ogden.

While Mayor Hoffman embraces METRO requirements others are fairly frustrated by their direction and limitations on local cities.

The article:  Frustrated Mayors  includes details and a partial listing of members of the group.     It provides for interesting reading to contrast with LO's current approach toward METRO.   Its widely interpreted that Mayor Hoffman and the current council have embraced all the METRO mandates and actually passed programs that are more restrictive than those required such as Sensitive Lands Ordinance, Tree Code, and others.
