Today we consulted various experts and officials and the race for Mayor is unofficially over.
The votes have been counted and all counties have reported. There are some provisional ballots in the county but they aren't enough to change the outcome is the common opinion.
Its time to call it unofficially. Will the Oregonian call it? Will the candidates call it? Its time everyone.....
The latest details are close to final at this point. There haven't been any substantive changes for days as the county clerks processed the ballots. There are no further updates until Tuesday at 5pm so its effectively over. Will Macpherson concede? Or will he finance a recount? Nobody knows but its time to call it for the betterment of the community.
The best part of this race was we had two candidates that acted as gentlemen despite any differences in their viewpoints. Lets keep it that way and show the voting public they can expect more from their elected officials...
